Mental performance enhancing drugs such as adderall, Microdosing LSD, nootropics aren't talked about often compared to steroids. My room mate started taking adderall for her "ADHD". Is adderall only effective on people with the disorder?

What are your thoughts on taking mental PEDs for school/business? Do they work? What are your favorites? Are they worth the downside?
