We get told "taking notes isn't so you can recall your notes, its to help you remember." In my experience, I take notes that help me review things I forgot in detailed subjects, but if I want to understand something not so execution based I usually waste my time writing notes when I can just read, take breaks, think about what I read, and repeat.

What I'm trying to say is, despite the intuitive popular culture surrounding why taking notes is good, they function as classicly for me as you can get. Who else?
