It's not just the basic search function that's messed up, either. For some reason, the geniuses removed the ability to specify the size of images in Image Search (seriously, you're giving me the choice between large, medium and icon, and half the time, there's not even any difference between the large and medium option? Why even bother?) and for a number of years now, Google Maps has been completely unusable in map mode because the contrast is so terribly done that when you zoom in slightly too much, you're left with nothing but white so you can't see the various ground colours, you don't see houses and roads are effectively invisible. And this is all with the blue light filter turned on considerably, without it, the map is just a burning white light.
