This is the first /FINANCEPILL/ general. It seems that threads about the academic rat race and general cuckoldry are becoming more and more common in this thread, likely because all the high schoolers who originally constituted this board years ago are finally graduating and entering either grad school or the job market. Therefore to shine a light on all of you minimum wage "doctors" here is the /FINANCEPILL/ general for all true STEM Chads.
This general is exclusively for the discussion of:
>The discussion of mathematics used in investment banking, commercial banking, hedge funds, and insurance.
>The discussion of mathematicians and scientists working in investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds, and insurance companies.
>The STEM Chad paths to careers in these fields. (i.e what's valued more, pure math or statistical physics?)
>sharing wisdom learned on the field and advice for others
>seeking wisdom from others
Keep it /sci/ too, any autistic discussion about office politics is not science or math. To start off the thread I'm leaving pic related here so that the uninitiated can read about math PhDs making millions and billions of dollars just for being smart. Hopefully, someone can contribute some physicists as there are plenty of those too. And I'm also willing to answer any questions about the /FINANCEPILL/ path and lifestyle.
