Weed shouls be legal because the prohibition doesn't decrease consumption rates and just winds up creating related criminal activity and an unsafe, unregulated market. The war on drugs is laughably ineffective, expenaive and counterproductive.

When I was 16 I was mentally struggling, had social anxiety and depression. I was a dumbass so I thought drugs would help. I tried MDMA (Ecstasy) 5 times in the hope that it would make me more sociable. I also used marijuana until I was 23. The drugs on top of the mental problems I was trying to fix were unbearable and I went to a psych ward a couple of times throughout my late teens and early 20s and couldn't hold a job for long. The last drugs I did when I was 23 was magic mushrooms and it didn't exacerbate my problems at all. It was a frightening experience though, and it rendered me non-functional while I was high. Been out of the hospital for a few years now and gainfully employed. So yeah, don't do MDMA - try it two times at most - and pot for me is bad news. If I had to be forced to do a drug again I would choose Adderall. I was memed into doing two drugs that at the time were hyped a lot.
