I do home organic chemistry experiments. i just refluxed salicylic acid (made from aspirin) with methanol (from HEET antifreeze) and sulfuric acid (from drain opener) for 1.5 hours, to make METHYL SALICYLATE. Now the flask smells like mint lifesavers x) im gonna try doing workup tomorrow.

what are some other cool smelling chemicals? including unpleasant smells?
