Leftists often have a mindset of powerlessness for example (it's the fault of the rich, capitalism, the patriarchy, etc... If things are going bad for me and others, always external factors are guilty, never my actions or decisions).
They would rather do nothing and expect society to reform in order to accomodate and solve their problems than reforming themselves to be better at dealing with their own share of existence.
