scanf() has been broken since the dawn of time. No real programmer used scanf() for anything.

Don't use scanf(), use gets() to a string then atoi() to your variable.

note that the error message actually informs you of your erroneous ways (you gave printf pointers to int instead of ints, as the format string prophesied)

to fix this, change the format string in printf to "squere of %p is %p\n"
