>>11183665>my mother is fine in past?Yes
>there are different timelines, and she still lives in one of them? There is no timeline. But if she once was, she exists elsewhere in spacetime. Not necessarily a place you can reach within this lifetime. If you believe in modern physics, you cant simultaneously believe that things in your past stopped existing or that things in your future lightcone dont already exist. All physically valid possibilities exist eternally, and you can visit only those that have a physically valid and describable path from where and whence you are to where you want to go. Now you are made of matter and experience motion and change because you're being hurled in the direction where our Universe's entropy increases just like all of us. You're in a river, and you are heavy like a stone, you cannot rise to climb out of the river and the current is far too strong to swim backwards. You can only steer your angle of approach to the destination. One day, your life in this river will end and the stone that is your body will disintegrate into a pebble, then a grain, and you will become lighter than the water (less energetic than the vacuum) and there will be no stopping you from lifting yourself out and going wherever, unless what we 'are' is merely the stone. If we are only the experience of the body, then life is all of our existence. If our bodies are just vessels compatible to some mind or soul, you will have the ability to go wherever you desire when you are unburdened by the physical body.
Be warned: do not discard your body, as a desire for non existence will burden you further. You will end your life prematurely and/or sabotage a possible afterlife. The best bet is to make peace with both life and death, yours and others, live a fulfilling life and when death inexorably comes to take you, greet it as an old friend and follow it to serenity. If death comes knocking before your fulfilment in life, refuse it. Do not go gentle into that good night
