I'm currently doing a bachelor's degree in Agronomy which barely gives me Precalculus 1 and Precalculus 2. I managed to get an A on both classes and I study in a quite competitive University when it comes to math. I've also gotten a hand at applied statistics and biometry classes, but it feels like what we touched is basic applications of statistics including hypothesis testing with T tests, Z tests, Anova tables, Chi^2 and linear regression. That being said...that says jack shit about my mathematical abilities because precalculus is a simple math and the general statistics courses are generally just formula inputting and basic data analysis. I'm thinking of adding general calculus 1 and 2 to my free electives to see if I have what it takes. Are there any mathematical monsters that I should be aware of before I even bother of thinking about making a major in applied biostatistics? I talked to my biometry professor and he told me that majoring in statistics isn't so hard.
