Honors societies are a scam, but some recruiters will see it and give you preferential treatment. Just make sure that it's "respectable" before joining.

I’m in it. Number one, being in an honor society is meaningless as fuck regarding intelligence. You might knock off a grand or two in scholarships with it. We did a few volunteering thing and they would bring in speakers to say stuff stat people who watch the knees are already aware about. Things like, be careful what you put on social media” and “robots are taking jobs in the future.”
