Chem major woes

Ive been thinking of switching from bsc chem to compsci for a while for employment reasons

But my grades in chem and physics are so good my friends think im crazy to switch out

Thoughts /sci/? Is a Bsc in chemistry good enough for todays job market?

A BSc in any science subject gets you fuck all. You need a PhD to do any kind of research.

You CAN get into research positions with a masters, but you'll be competing with PhD grads and your career will quickly hit a ceiling. I'm taking a year out after my masters in over, then applying for PhDs.

if you like the physical sciences more than programming, you should stick with your current major. average pay is about the same between masters in chem and bachelors in comp sci.
