Not as far as we'd be if they'd just been adequately (aka extortionately) funded in their own times. Von Braun especially. The A4/V2 was on paper in 1933 let alone 1939 and he didn't finally get special status for full funding until the late war and then while at Redstone they were sidelined and forgotten about for years at a time in favor of American scientists competing aimlessly in inter service rivalry.

Korolev needs no alternative history.
