I suffer of Obsessive compulsive disorder
My cortex gets overstimulated but there is sufficient serotonin production in a deep region of the brain in order to filter all the signals from the cortex (directed to the amigalda). So amigalda gets triggered everytime even by non sense cortex excitation.
How to fix this? Can I relay on neuroplasticity? Maybe if I resist and I don't do the compulsive acts my brain will automatically generate more serotonin in that area to bloc non sense signals to get to amigalda?
I don't wanna tac SSRI cause of libido problems
