Main text should only include something that you use to make a point or prove your argument. Rest of the shit goes to the appendix.
Results is for results, methodology is for methodology, obviously.
Just google up a dozen of similar papers and explore their structure.

That's what I thought, I was confused cause most papers I've read and everything my lab's published has the procedure in methodology and barely covers it in results, yet the course coordinator who wrote up what my PI is evaluating it with has the procedure listed under results.

It's still my PI evaluating me though and the criteria are suggested so he still has all of the say in if he wants to follow them or not. What I'm thinking of doing is going in depth in methodology then glossing over everything quick quick in the procedure by just referring to the techniques used to get the results

The methods doesn't have to be word for word procedure just enough so someone could recreate the experiment .

I would assume Bradford assay standard curve creation would be in a supplmental table data or methods.

The protein quantification data can go in results tables or supplmental but you could also just mention " Protein X was quantified by SDS-PAGE and provided band at ___ " i think

Ideally, the method shouldn't be a step by step guide but a summary of the actions taken, so the reader knows what the hell you were doing and could repeat the experiment. For instance, write something like "A solution of W has been prepared using 10 g of X and has been mixed with Y to obtain compound Z using reaction A. or some BS like that. I'm not in biology or chemistry, so not sure what kind of shit you're doing, but ideally, that's what the methodology should look like and not something liket 1. measure 10 g of Y on a scale. 2. Add the Y to an empty beaker. 3. Add distilled water to the beaker. 4. Heat the beaker on a hot plate... or the same thing but with the numbers replaced by first, second and so on.

In the result section, you should quickly explain and summarize what you did and how you got your result and explain the result obtained. Once again, you don't have to go into step by step detail on how you got it, just an idea of where the value came from.

For instance, during part X of the lab, after doing Y, machine Z recorded the following results: RESULTS HERE, which is bla bla bla.

X and Y should be defined in the method section.
