I realized how rare it si for metalheds to have long thin heads, and the auditory cortex is on the sides, so I guess there might be something to it? Your thoughts?

Are you referring to an increased brain mass or greater variation between each ears perception? Both would likely contribute to "better" auditory processing(Spacial awareness).

All metalheads have relatively narrow skulls just by virtue of being Nordic. Wide skulls are more of an Alpine thing. If you live in tge United States, most whites around you are probably basically Nordic, so it's easy to forget what a truly wide skull looks like on a white person.

However another narrow-skulled race is the Negroid (particularly the eastern Horn Negroid or Ethiopioid, and the western Forest Negroid or Congoid). This race is not known for making beautiful, inspiring or melodic music, but rather simple rhyhmic tunes in the pentatonic scale, suitable for their fertility dances. Whether this can be traced simply to the auditory cortex, or is caused by more generally brain differences, seems difficult to determine in general.

The reverse. It seems that metalheads are almsot as a rule "brachycephalic" and virtually never "dolichocephalic". (which may show up either as broad, as pictured, or tall forehead, with no "bun" in the back, rather than sloped forehead with the visible protrusion in the back)
