My IQ is 90. I was able to get my STEM degree only through a lot of hard labor and because of my passion, but now I see how most people at work are a lot smarter than me. Some of them took the same degree just because of societal pressure even if they weren't so interested in it, and perform better than me with half the effort. I'm not ever average, everyone is simply better than me. I can't join their casual conversations since most of the time I have no idea about what they are talking about. I put all my time, energies and focus into my education to get average-good results, while most of them had brilliant grades even though they succeeded in sports and some hobbies like literature or nerd things like videogames, so they know other topics other than those related to our job. I live in shame between them as if I don't "belong" in their circle. This is making me really depressed. My childhood friends from my native town are all into low skilled jobs, and they regard me as "the intelligent one" and I feel so good and appreciated amongst them. But among my peers I feel dumb as hell. Can some "brainlet" relate?
