I've studied maths in my country, didn't finish and have started a career as a software developer.
Still I think of getting some good education and probably a career in science / R&D. In my country top universities are full of unmotivated people, who are mostly sons of academics or teachers, no one cares about science, only career. No shining eyes around, only cynicism and careerism.
In my opinion it is much better in the US universities where at least foreign students are motivated enough and actually care about science (?). So I consider saving money and getting an education in US when I'll be closer to my 30s. Is it worth it? Or am I just romanticizing top universities in the US?
