Grades, especially in upper division mathematics, is rarely based on numerical scores. Most people in the really high up courses are given ridiculously hard material and then subsequent A's for putting lots of effort and performing up to the professor's standards, and many times, especially when the professor is trying to get students used to the idea of partial progress or deep insight, that doesn't translate to a 90/100 or above. I, however, did get no less than a 95 on those remaining two exams
