I wanted to make little light up displays for my rock collection in my room. I was also looking into getting a single sample that is radioactive. Would it be safe to display it in my room? I know there’s different types of radiation depending on the material but in all likelihood it would probably be something that has a tiny amount of uranium or thorium in it. Are there any special things to consider when collecting radioactive minerals? Or will a simple glass bottle be enough to contain the radiation/ radon gas
