>>11164679You don't cope, because to cope means you are subconsciously aware of it and you push yourself to ignore it. Forget it. There have been almost 100 billion humans that have ever lived in the span of 200'000 years, and yet history only keeps track of so many. You were never destined to be great or a failure, there is no external force that prevents you from doing what you want - it's all you. At every stage in your life, you're in the reins. So with that said it makes the most sense to follow your goals, regardless if your name is forgotten or immortalised on a plaque.
Do what you want. Think about it like this, you gain nothing from doing something you hate for your life over something you enjoy - and vice-versa. This is because no matter where you start living and no matter how intense your journey was, you will still end up dead.
If you still need a way to cope: If you died, would you feel accomplished? Think about it. You'll find that you're obsession with others achievements don't appear at all, instead you might see yourself wishing that maybe you went that extra mile in your passion to get that little bit better. Also, when you're on your deathbed, the people you see yourself as inferior to won't be there. Once you die that's it, no one is going to bring you back from the dead and laugh at you and call you dumb. Make sure instead of trying to impress people that don't give a shit about, impress the one person that will always be with you and will be the last person you ever see - yourself.
