But what difference does it make? What could one do with "free will" that can't do with the actual state of existence? Even more, what the fuck is free will and why does it matter?
Claiming "free will doesn't exist" has absolutely no purpose. It's just a doomer take on existence, and it's embarrassing that people pretend to be more "intellectually elevated" just because they are "aware" of this.
People who deny free will behave exactly like evangelical atheists. Yeah buddy, there is no god, congrats, now shut up.
It's not so much about the atheist being right or wrong, it's more about not having any insightful or meaningful or useful reason to make such an approach.
