So I recently got my bachelors in mathematics with a minor in education, and I'm really interested with working with less fortunate kids, however I am concerned with job availability and the density of the curriculum. Can someone tell me the pros and cons?

It sounds like a good idea at first but in practice, not so much. Your class will be loud, no one will listen to you, they'll be on their phone 24/7, they wont remember anything from their previous classes and will insist on staying enrolled in it because they need the class for getting into uni. After all this they'll still complain to you about a low grade near the end of the semester when its already too late and expect you to give out free grades.
