There are a few wood so dense they don't float.
This includes at least one version of Eucalyptus.
Two thing to check would be if they still sink in salt water, as it is not the same as the tap water used in the test data I have seen. Also check the time windows, many dense woods grow very slowly, so dumping them in the trench every 70 years instead of 7 years would change how fast this works.

It is not sensible to waste resources virtue signaling to one-another about how much we fucking love windmills.
