I'm in the air force. I took official IQ test and other cognitive test and they told I had an Logical-mathemtical IQ of 101 and Verbal IQ of 110 as well as a NEGATIVE deficient in memory/concentration somehow.
Let me tell ya, BMT was fucking hell. The task and instructions were quite simple but for I couldn't get anything down. Couldn't roll socks. Couldn't fucking schedule dry cleaning. Couldn't march a flight. I mean, I could but it just required so much short term memory and attention to detail, I'd have to take overlearn the skills before i understood what we were doing.
I got lucky and ended up with a cushy blue collar mission support job with a relaxed boss so I wasn't really be taxed heavily. However, guys could still do infantry and become proficient if we applied ourselves but I would not try to get a afsc or mos that requires an asvab score about 60.
