My dad has always told me that there is a maximum number of calories you can get from food in a given day.
So for example, if someone usually eats 2,500 calories a day usually but manages to stuff down 15,000 calories in a given day day, not all of that excess will be stored as fat and instead it will simply not be used.
Is this true or is it a myth? If it is, how could I learn more about this phenomenon more thoroughly? I am dieting at 1000 calories every day for weeks now and I just had my first 'cheat day', I probably had 3000-4000 calories, and I'm wondering how much do cheat days actually set you back and if they're worth it.
