Does anybody realize that ancient people were just as smart as modern people are?
The difference is that they weren't given the right to go to school or forced to go to school rather a lot of people were forbidden from even learning how to read because of racism.

It was the religious people that made scientific strides the most during ancient times and modern scientists like to deny this.

It was racists and dogmatists who set back science and most importantly it was simply the lack of opportunity.

Nobody had enough money to live so how was somebody going to do research with only a couple bricks as their research equipment? Every single device had to be build starting with rocks and dirt, and we did it. It took time but of course it did.

Plenty of people made good math contributions but most people weren't ever taught math anyways and the philosophers were the ones who did physics, because there were no resources to prove atoms existed or anything so atoms were first theorized by natural philosophers, etc. they also were the first ones to think that air was made of particles like sand for example. The philosophers and the religious people are the founders of math and science.
