The smell of my sweat changes when I drink tea...

It goes from nondescript BO to the smell of fresh cannabis flowers. I don't partake.

Would any /sci/entists care to throw out some plausible explanations?

It smells so good that when it's like this I smell my pits for minutes at a time.

Additionally, it smells this way if I am feeling manic (I don't have any kind of diagnosed mania disorder, but sometimes I get inexplicable bursts of energy which prevents sleep and increases my basal thought rate).

Also, patently false. I've gotten my family members to smell my pits too. My dad did notice a difference, but he didn't think it smelled like quite like cannabis.

The scent only appears when the sweat is fresh. The smell is volatile. And I am generally a hygienic person, so I don't appreciate the insult.

I know exactly what you're talking about, OP. It happens to me, but pay closer attention and you'll notice that the cannabis smelling sweat happens more broadly when you're stressed. Caffeine activates the sympathetic nervous system, so you start stress sweating and it has a distinct odor, which for some (including myself) smells like fresh weed. Even if you subjectively do not feel stressed after drinking tea (perhaps it's a relaxing routine), the caffeine is making your body respond as if it is stressed. It also happens to me when I'm particularly anxious. If you google the phenomenon you'll find many people with similar experiences.

It seems I associate the mental state concomitant with the change of scent with mild euphoria, so I never thought to search for "stress sweating".

I find it interesting that my subjective feelings of stress are not associated with this scent, but rather with non-arousal and feelings of futility. I also crave the smell of my own sweat, and people have called me an adrenaline junkie in the past... hmmm...

Your BO is determined a lot by body chemistry, different things in your sweat get eaten by bacteria on your skin who then fart off the stank of BO.
Something in your diet is seeping through your pores and changing the composition of the bacterial waste.
Personally when I get funky its the peculiar scent of onions, or my balls and feet can get a little vinegary.
