Weird thread I know but perhaps you could help me /sci/. Im working on a video game that involves some minor "puzzle" solving but not abstract logical problems, rather just relatively simple practical environmental challenges centered around the elements and properties of nature. I was wondering if you could help me think of conceptual themes that may factor into the obstacles or tools that have to be manipulated in some capacity to achieve the goals.

A simple example would be something like the path being blocked by ice so you have to get a piece of wood, light it on fire and take the the torch near the ice to melt it. So in this case the major concepts at play would be:
- temperature
- states of matter
- combustion

Some other broad notions could be:
- light
- sound
- gravity
- speed
- time
- volume
- height
- weight
- color
- magnetism

Mind you it doesnt have to be limited to this sort of fundamental universal ideas from physics. Phenomenons like erosion or percipitation could play a role somehow. Maybe a specific chemical reaction like fire or lightning. Perhaps a particular aspect from a broader idea like what reflection is to light. Even simple mechanical concepts like wheels or levers.

Besides everything already mentioned can you think of some other subjects that would be interesting to take advantage of and illustrate in this form? And if you have a concrete idea for a puzzle I would also be happy to hear it.
