Monthly monolog
People say that the purpuse of life is whatever you give it. But I think that life is meaningless so is it right to assume that the life of others is meaningless too? And if it is right why would I still feel guilty when I kill someone? Because it's not proven if God is real or not. I wouldnt want to take the chance and risk it to ruin my (if it even exists) afterlife in heaven or where ever. But if this is the only reason that's holding be back from doing bad things does that mean that I am a bad person? I mean in general I always try to make decisions that I won't regret in the future which results in me beeing generally in a good position. Is good or bad only a social or a personal construct? If you pay taxes you're good in the mind of the everyday Joe. If you revenge a minor offense with murder you're good In the eyes of a person with questionable ethics. So it's relative from the beholder but also a social norm. Are the viewes of the second person only wrong because the majority of people think it is? In ancient Greece it was completely socially accapteble to have romantic relationships with teens and tweens, only because the majority of people said it was ok. The reason why I think that humans have such useless thoughts as mine is that we as a species have surpassed our natural needs to survive and our only goal at the moment is to make life as comfortable as possible. Evolutionally talking there is nothing left to achieve. It's like finishing a video game and doing sidequestes you set up for yourself with the only thing beeing achieved is a lot of time beeing wasted and only waiting for the unavoidable death to finally surprise you with the answer to atleast one question nobody could answer.
