I'm interested in how/whether the clockwork elves reveal themselves to nonhuman entities. It would be difficult for a dog to describe its objective experience since dogs do not possess language. However there may be direct methods (modern brain scans) and indirect methods (trained reactions; tricks) of observing the dog's subjective experience.

This research would help explain the nature of the DMT entities and the realm they inhabit; the extent of a dog's consciousness (soul) in comparison to a human's; and perhaps the (quantum?) nature of consciousness itself.
