Why the bridge pickup's green wire goes to ground on the first diagram and it doesnt on the second one

/mu/ would probably know better but from looking it seems on the left the neck pickup is used to connect to the tone dial and on the right the bridge pickup is used for that, probably dont need to connect both.

This isn't a diagram, as in schematic. A real schematic is, sometimes, easier to see. My blurry vision gets lost in this. I bet /diy/ could help. Assuming that /mu/ knows as much about misic as /sci/ does about science.
