>How often do you read scientific journals? Do you personally peer review studies to make sure they were meticulously conducted? Have you gone through the math to personally verify the results predicted by the theories of quantum physics or general relativity, or any other for that matter? If not then your beliefs are based on faith and you simply lack the curiosity to verify them beyond the words of figures of authority. That's fine, not everyone has to be a philosopher who burdens themselves with unnecessary questions, but please don't pretend you're holding some kind of intellectual higher ground for having faith in one particular group of white robed sages over any other. "Scientists" are just as human as any pastor or reverend or pope and are just as capable of lying to empower themselves or of making genuine mistakes in their pursuits of truth
