>>11153462It doesn't give you the tools to think for yourself and do calculations. I don't think he ever really explains what a propagator is (in the first edition at least, someone told me he read all the bad reviews from people like me on Amazon and updated it).
He gives explanations that would satisfy a professor that actually learned QFT somewhere else (Bjorken and Drell for that generation probably) because they don't realize there are gaps in the presentation. Or it might satisfy someone who has no intellectual rigor and just wants to be led along and introduced to a bunch of topics.
