any tipps on writing your thesis ?
i'm currently trying my bachelor thesis (CS). i've already implemented everything, but i just can't write the fucking text.
i know what i have to write about, the content of every chapter, but just can't put it into a fucking sentence.

stop thinking about what specific word you have to write

think about every chapter and start there. Think of how you could describe the main contents of every chapter in one or two sentences and go from there.

thats what i'm currently trying to do. well, more like just adding comments and notes what i want to express in that chapter and write about, but i still can't make it past 1-2 sentences which would be result in ~5 pages.

also, if i look something up i just can't come up with my own text, i always end up citing the source. any tips on that ?

Don't worry about typing it perfectly on your first try because that never happens. Make a quick draft in one sitting where you write down all the main ideas, then refactor it as many times as you need until it's good. If you can get people to read your drafts, send them your final drafts so you can get comments, but don't expect them to read it thoroughly; in fact, a good academic text should be written in such a way that you can absorb the main ideas quickly by just reading the abstract and then skimming over it. I'm sorry anon but I can't teach you to write in a 4chan thread. My only advice is to first work on the overall structure of the sections, add in the figures and equations, then put in some bullet points on all the details that need to be included in each section; writing the actual sentences can be the last thing you do.

Give yourself permission to write it badly first. I mean, really, really badly. I mean, go out of your way to write it in a way you would never, ever allow yourself to submit.

Like, use language you like learned in like, fifth grade. Because, you, this shit fucking compiles my 1337 nigga!.

This way you will convince yourself that you're simply writing a stupid little draft that means nothing, and allow yourself to start writing, while you collect the ideas for the actual thesis.

Give it a few passes, till it gets boring. Or you just so happen to produce a thesis, written in 5rd grade speak. Then it's just a matter of rewriting it into proper English.
