Yes, machines will become increasingly more sophisticated, and become all the more flexible tools (machine learning, neural nets, etc...) but we'll never reach singularity or anything like that, probably not within humankind's lifetime.
The fact is though, the 4th industrial revolution came nonetheless, and it is because automation that does not necessarily require any A.I at all.
