What if a nuclear explosion set off below the North American glacier sheet violently ejected ice into the atmosphere - that then rained down for years? Also, this would make sense as to why the Levant is the cradle of civilization. That's a pretty random location on the planet no matter how you look at it. Is it not more plausible that humans had tech well before the last ice age and we survived the last ice age?
Homo sapiens originated around 400,000 years ago and the last ice age began around 100,000 years ago. Perhaps humans caused the last ice age and then migrated from Europe, southward towards the Levant. Would it make sense that people in the Levant knew how to bake bread? That is just so random.
