You don't have a fully developed brain until about age 25. You spend half of life growing your brain and get only 25 years of use.

You seriously underestimate what they are doing. THEY are people that have spend hours reading submitted papers and reviewing them (They see ALL the latest stuff and are up on what is happening) they do not have TIME to do their own research because they are reviewing everyone else's. Smart submitter are desperate to have their papers reviewed by the these highly respected seniors. A favorable review by a senior fellow can almost guarantee publication and a wide readership.

Never think the seniors are out of the loop because you see so few papers from them, they are busy helping other with their papers.

None, you simply instill in people the desire to die on their own terms and give people strong family and dynastic values as well as a fear and hatred of being/having extremely old and senile individuals.

This would encourage people to prefer to die shortly after retirement instead of coasting on for 30 years draining all of their wealth, which would otherwise go to their children and grand children.
