imagine if you have a loop of wire with current thru it, theres magnetic field going thru the loop. singular electrons have angular momentum acting kind of like a loopy current, generating magnetic field called spin in QM. if a substance is polarized evenly, such as magnetite, its electrons all fuel one bigger magnetic field and make the object a magnet
why loopy current makes magnetism is just bc moving electrons at all makes magnetic field.. look up maxwells equations and ask sci if you need help w the calculus
