How long does it take to learn linear algebra

I havent been to class since the last test and I have a test today. I have 7 hours to study. How likely is it that I will be able to understand everything from matrix operations to determinant and inverse matrices by then? I'm thinking I can do it

The concepts you outlined can be understood in 5 minutes.
Doing things with them can be real difficult though.

Matrix inverses and determinants should only take you a day. It's really easy - by the looks of it you are either first year or second year math? So, it should be doable as it's basically plugging in expressions and following a process - kind of like high school math.

Matrix operations are just algebra but be careful when multiplying.

While I agree that applying this concepts often basically boils down to recipes there is much more tto most of them. Stuff like the geometric interpretation of the determinant, coordinate-free definitons, exterior algebras etc

Depend whether you are taking a computational version or a proof based version. If it is the brainlet computational, then you are fine and can probably learn all that you need. If it is proof based you will have a hard time grasping all the concepts

Lol, this is literally what I was doing in my diffeq class today. I skipped Linear Algebra to go straight to diffeq, but I was able to pick up on this stuff pretty easily and I'm not very smart. I think if you put in the time it should be easy for you.

You can parrot a few concepts to resolve basic exercices but you need more time to actually understand what's behind it.
