What do you think would be the sociological effects of people being able to live basically indefinitely?

Would the lack of a threat of death mean people could just continue doing what they do in their 20s like drink, smoke, vidya, since their close family would never die and therefore not deprive them of loving connection?
I'd imagine those in longrun loving relationships would eventually become into open relationships or perhaps relationships of any kind simply dissolve over a great enough time
On the other hand, maybe after reaching an escape velocity human people would grow inextricably linked together through a snowballed familiarity bias..
