I'm not trying to put myself in a pedestal, but my family are all complete morons, even among family meetings I'm always told by my relatives that I'm the odd sheep of the family, I'm even told there's no way I'm my parent's kid.
I'm the only introvert, the only professional, the only one who ended up school with good grades. My parents and great parents were school drop outs, many of my aunts, uncles and relatives were multiple times in prison, my same-age cousins are all lazy party 24/7 failures even after their mid 20's. Economic factors are not a factor either since I grew up in the same miserable trash dump.
I understand that introverts are tiny percent of the population and is not necessarily a genetic trait.
The idea that my kids could end up like the rest of my family frightens me, there's no way I could handle something like that.
