hello,

I have water (blue) pooled on a roof top (brown) and need to get it out.

would using a hose/tube (green) work? the idea is to submerge it in the water, then create suction on the lower end to get the water in the hose over the highest point (which is above the roof pool level) and then just let the water run out, as the water going down would create enough suction to suck in more water from the roof pool over the high point in the hose.

is this how physics works or am I retarded?
