Light that comes from the lantern is reflected by the mirror. Radiation not, it goes thorught it. The reason is simple, light particles are not tiny enough to pass throught it. But radiation particles are.

Maybe that's the reason we can't see X-rays or Infrared, these ones are tiny particles of light. We are just talking about particles traveling at high speed (light). Radiation from Uranium goes through it, because the particles are tinier. You would need many blocks of concrect to contain it. Mirrors would be useless.

Almost. Electromagnetic radiation tends to "hit" things based on wavelength. X and Gamma rays have a super short wavelength, so it's less likely they'll "run into" something, and neutrons are tiny compared to atoms. That's why it takes a lot of lead/water to block, because the more dense crap is in the way, the more likely the particle is likely to "collide" with something.

when you take an X-ray exam what happens is that X-ray is used against you and the doctor takes a picture of what happens. Your bones reflect the x-ray. The rest of the body doesn't, at principle, the light passes through your body.
