You have it exactly backwards. Dark matter is a fact not a theory.

There is a discrepancy between what we would expect if all matter were visible matter and what we actually observe. That is a fact. But we don't have an accepted theory that resolves this.

It's a fact that we observe galaxies spinning faster than we can explain by the amount of matter we see, but it is only a guess that the discrepancy is due to an invisible particle. It could be caused by any number of things which no one has thought of yet and whose fundamental principles are not fully understood. The rotation is the fact. The dark matter is a guess which has accrued ZERO supporting evidence through any of dozens of experiments spread across a few decades.

I dont playn to waste my time watching Hossenfelder saying the same things she always says. Dark Matter is the current best model and superior to MOND in the various observation it explains. If you want to combine both ideas, go ahead, but there isnt any compelling reason to actually do so.
