Mathematics as a system was created by man, and of course notation and theory as well.
We still have a long way to go, and we as a species may never learn everything there is to know in terms of measure and meaning.
Humanity can only see so far into the macrocosm and microcosm, and the farther we search the more there is to see, it may as well be truly infinite in scale for both directions, but time will tell.
