Would this mean if we look at a galaxy that's FAR FAR FAR FAR way, we may actually be looking at the milky way? But the milky way in the distant past?

Or is the universe SO HUGE that any light from the beginning of the milky way would take the entire lifespan or more of the milky way to travel full circle, and thus I'd be impossible to see a galaxy from the other side (full circle) that still exists today?

I remember reading once (I think it was one of Michio Kaku's pipedream books), that if you crossed the entirety of the universe, you'd end up back where you started. But your entire body would be mirrored. It had something to do with how these types of closed loops work.

Is there any truth to that or is it just bullshit?

Misinformation is infinity more damaging than lack of information, but some scientists curiosity is so powerful that not knowing is painful. They can't cope with the reality of simply of not knowing something or not having the answers. This is literally why religions were invented. I'm not saying "science is a religion." Just saying that humans have a natural tenancy to just make shit up when they don't have the answers, and then later on create rationalization to support the shit they make up. It's a process that gets reversed back to front.

how would a mirrored photon be different? a different type of polarization maybe? would it be any different or easily recognizable from normal photon polarization?

Could we repeat hubbles deep field with a mirrored photonic detector, look for photons that have traveled the entire distance of the universe? It would be a good way to measure shape, size, and age of the universe.
