The camera will be at a fixed height and needs to capture an image of a rectangular area. I used a Field Of View Calculator to plug in my values (1/3" Sensor, Object Distance of 17", Target Area Width of 13.6") and it said my focal length needs to be 6mm. To test it out, I bought a fixed 6mm lens and confirmed that I'm getting the image that I wanted.

Now I need to make a lens and scope that does the same thing. I don't have a spherometer to just measure the curvature of the lenses so I need to make one that pretty much does the same thing. I can machine the scope out of a lathe but I don't know what the curvature of the lenses need to be in order to purchase one from an OEM. Is there any software where I can enter some of these values and it outputs the curvature of the lenses and the distance between them? I need to find a combination of lenses that can be purchased.

What software can I use to calculate the specs?
