Not only does the mention of plants have everything to do with this discussion but the fucking reason you would mention that (your figure) [CO2] 500 ppm is fucking beyond me. In certain conditions that would be the case because in some conditions the concentration of oxygen is lower (significantly) than the concentration of carbon dioxide. Stop using that as a universal rule of thumb. An example of a condition where that would apply would be the reaction chamber were you data was recorded - in that chamber, the CO2 was increased DISPROPORTIALTLY to the concentration of oxygen. This has everything to do with the validity of your statement, and also why it is an unreliable investigate to model the increase in CO2 in real-life. Do you understand that.
Ask yourself how that study came to its conclusion. When you increase the concentration of co2 and leave the concentration of o2 constant, the probability that co2 will be breathed increases, while the probability of o2 molecules stays constant. An individual in this situation would experience negative cognitive effects due to oxygen deprivation. This is not an accurate model of the enviroment because as co2 increase o2 increase in a 6 : 6 molar ratio via photosynthesis (of course this would be a multifactorial event), thus with the proportional increase in o2 (via photosynthesis) the probability of breathing o2 in a situation with increased levels of co2 stays constant (note: there would be an initial decrease in the o2 probability).
