I'd say math is correct. I was originally going to be a neuroscience+math major but I'm le "smart but lazy" so I switched to a pure math major. The workload is a joke. I spend at most 8 hours total per week doing school work.

On the other hand I think English is more of a skill than a conceptual game like math, so it could be argued that the only way to force student to refine this skill is via a high workload.

I’m sick of autists pretending that math and physics are harder than everything else. Undergrad math is simple. I double majored in math and mechanical engineering and the math classes were actually breathers for me. Any class that wasn’t proof based was trivial and even the few proof based ones were simple, like group theory and intro to real analysis. Yes, math is probably harder at the grad level but in undergrad it’s a joke. Whereas in ME you have design classes that are 15+ hours of work a week and hard as fuck

law is only hard in the US due to the "precedent" system they have. However in the EU law is usually seen as a lower middle class job for community college graduates since we use a different type of law that is meant to be in accordance to current laws with no look at historic precedents at all.

Most of the world has this system and only 2 countries being the US and the UK has this "precedent" system making law hard and a high income job there.

In my country "lawyer" is considered in the same range as electrician/plumber/welder

conceptually these things are not very difficult, but they result in complex systems that have lots of moving parts. Obviously research into these fields is in fact complicated, but the essence of what you're learning in undergrad in these fields is no more than a survey of all the greatest hits - you're not engaging in the actual difficulty. I really doubt you know enough information theory to appreciate linear systems past basic sigproc.
So please, stop jerking yourself off to your watered down engineering courses. You have little to no idea just how trite your achievements are in the face of the people who actually developed the rudiments of said field, so don't try and claim their glory just because you took a class in undergrad.

I live in France and this is definitly bullshit, law is an overcrowded field and most people either convert into some else (usually managment or economy, and that's only for the best) or just settle for some law paying job for the state after passing some hard entrance exam.

Only the ones who already have some acquitances in the field (family background usually) can actually make some money (but NOWHERE near 6 figures, maybe at the end of their career if they are lucky).
